One awkward situation I often find myself in while working on this comic is when coming up with the dialogue and wording in general takes significantly longer than drawing the actual thing. I guess I still have a bit of a ways to go before I become a decent writer. Any tips from the more experienced folks out there? See that little yellow box with random text on the bottom right side of the strip? That’s the part I usually find myself pulling my hair out over.

That being said, I think it’s safe to say that this particular strip seemed like a better idea in my head. Maybe I’m just not used to cooking meat over an open flame, but I can’t help but wonder if everyone else has suffered from the same stomach issues I did with Korean food during the first few months or so of living here. It is possible that I just have a really sensitive stomach. If that is the case, thank goodness it’s toughened up over the past few years.

How well do you like to cook your Korean BBQ before ingesting it? Some of my friends don’t cook it for long at all (which is probably how I got sick the first few times), while others wait until there’s a nice, charred coating on the outside. I may need more experience as a cook with this, but I still have yet to learn the ideal amount of cooking this stuff needs before it’s both safe to eat and delicious. If you have an idea, please share!

I should really stop writing this at odd hours of the night. Pay no attention to my awkward handwriting in the fourth panel. Have a nice week everyone!
